Now that it’s summer, here’s a delicious idea from one of our designers. Why not make an ice cream sundae card for someone special?
The card is made from a mouth watering selection of sugary colours and delicate textures all from our Pastel Collection.

We used card rather than paper for the cut out shapes and added card spacers to create the layers - this gives the card a 3-D look. A red button was used to make a tasty cherry making this ice cream card irresistible.

The folded card featured in both designs is White Gold Dust, embroidery embossed.

The Christmas tree, and caption were printed onto Shimmer Silver card, and then mounted onto a White Gold Dust, embroidery embossed folded card using small sticky pads. We’ve also used the same design on a ‘Strawberry Red’ silkweave embossed’ card but the design looks equally stunning on our ‘Bright Red’ soft touch folded card from the Innovations Collection.

The Christmas star design uses a pink insert to the design, made from Fuchsia Pearl embroidery embossed card, which beautifully compliments the White Gold Dust folded card.

Back in January we featured the wonderful designs created by Staffordshire University third year students in response to our ‘Supporting & Inspiring Innovation within Education’ initiative. We were so overwhelmed by the standard of work and level of effort put into the brief by all of the students, however there were two students, who we felt had particularly embraced the brief and produced work of such a high commercial standard that meant the products could go to market immediately.

We commissioned Claire Mayes, who designed the paper Heart Lanterns during the brief (which can be downloaded from our site) to develop the theme further by creating further paper lantern designs and in response Claire has come up with these delightful paper Daisy Chain Lanterns.

Perfect for brightening up any room this summer or for using as decoration at a summer party or BBQ, the Daisy Lantern pack can be downloaded with free templates and instructions to cut around using our papers.
